Whats in my Bag

I thought I'd do a Whats in my Bag post this week as i've seen these around on a few blogs and thought it would be fun to do.

First off my bag, my baby, my Michael Kors Selma bag in Tan. I bought this just last month and it was my first big splurge but it was worth the strain on my credit card. I don't use this bag as often as I should but its just to precious. I am definitely a bag person I have far too many, but its safe to say I won't be spending as much money on the next bag I purchase.

Then we have my Michael Kors purse, I take this every where I go ever since I purchased this in the Michael Kors store in New York and its my one and only piece from my Michael Kors collection that is actually purchased from a proper Michael Kors shop -and trust me there is a big collection- Its a great wallet purse perfect for everyday use.

My newest addition to my collection of day to day essentials. This Ted Baker iPad case is great for traveling with my iPad as i'm constantly traveling into the city centre for work and staying at my Grandparents over night so this is great for carrying my iPad everywhere I go! The case has a cushioning which is great for protecting the iPad and the cases as i'm a bit clumsy and have already broken a couple of my iPad cases..

Another of my Ted Baker collection is my Ted Baker Make up case. I bought this on a shopping trip in Glasgow not really knowing what I was going to do with it but I thought it was too cute not to purchase. It has sort of turned into a make up bag that I just carry about all my different lipsticks in. Just now like i said previously I'm always back and forth to work and living out of a suit case as I live out side the city it's sometimes easier to stay with my Grandparents in the city so this comes in handy whenever I'm out I have my lipsticks with me for whatever shade of lipstick I'm in the mood to wear.

There is also my little essentials purse in purple which i've had for years which i got as part of a set for christmas one year and it has come in handy for carrying about my essential everyday needs! My bag is also scattered with a few other essential needs such as my hand cream which currently is L'Occitane En Provence Creme Mains Peaux Seches which is a great thick cream which keeps my hand extremely soft. A tub of vaseline can always be found in my bag as i'm always applying some to my lips especially in this cold weather we've been having lately i try too keep my lips soft. Headphones can also be found tangled at the bottom of my bag as I can't leave the house without a set -or my phone for that matter- as with all the traveling back and forth I do it's good to just get lost in my music collection. One item that I always end up putting in my bag just in case is my faux Ray-Bans for whenever we get a sunny day here in Scotland which as of now is in very few supply.

Thanks for reading and hope to see you all next week!

Quick little Post

I was contemplating writing a blog post this week, I've been so stressed between problems with the blog design and college, I just had'nt had time to think of a good blog post. But while out enjoying drinks with friends last night I came up with a new blog idea!!

I've been watching Sex and the city non stop the past two weeks and it got me thinking I've always heard people saying "who out of sex in the city are you most like?" So while having drinks with my friends I wondered who out of the Sex in the City girls are we most like? And trust me it was easy to figure out...

For me the more I thought about it I think I'm very much a Charlotte but also I'm a bit like Carrie. I just wish I had a New York apartment and a closet and shoes like Carrie's because even my work shoes would put Carrie Bradshaw to shame.  Then I realised why do we ask the question "who are we most like" because they are relatable, they are real women, with normal jobs and their love life's are not all happy endings.

While writing this post I also thought out of the other shows I watch who am i more similar too. Am I a Rachel ,Monica or Phoebe, a Serena or a Blair. When It came to Gossip girl I realised  I'm more of a Blair but a little less "Queen B" a little more the Blair we see in the final series of Gossip Girl. Although Serena is my favourite and with Blake Lively being one of my biggest inspirations who could blame me.. I just wish I had a fashion sense like Serena and all her confidence...

Just a fun little post for this week, let me know who you are most like in the comments below. I hopefully will be back posting better posts next week!!

New York

In July 2013 myself and my family had a holiday in the USA, firstly we did a California road-trip then we spent five days in New York - certainly a long awaited trip- I loved it and have wanted to return to New York ever since.

I would love to one day live in New York - or as Frank Sinatra said "I want to wake up in a city that never sleeps." I have loved the city ever since I first saw friends (it still is my favourite show) then i found out it was filmed in a studio in L.A, but that didn't stop me loving the city -or the show- any less. When I seen Gossip Girl I loved the Fashion and how New York was the centre piece of the show, I wanted to be Serena and Blair, have their fashion sense, live on the upper east side and of course I wanted to date guys like Nate and Chuck. I know this sounds like I wanted to live the lives of TV characters but I was and still am inspired by them.

Since the start of last year I've been watching White Collar another show with New York and a handsome guy as its centre piece. I knew White Collar filmed in the Summer months and in the streets of New York, so thats when I suggested that we should go to New York during our family trip to the states. Luckily for me once we arrived we found their filming Location for the day and I jumped at the chance to meet Matt Bomer! - Defiantly the Highlight of the Holiday- Funnily enough after walking seven blocks to find the White Collar filming location, the next morning we walked out our hotel to find the street filled with trailers and Matt Bomer walking towards me in a Fireman's suit! We got the chance to stand and watch them film a couple of scenes then off we went to explore the city that never sleeps. While we were there we did all the tourist things such as cycle around central park, went to the top of the empire state building, picnicked in central park, visited Times Square, shopped at all the big name stores. And the Restaurants I loved how chic and stylish they were, they were just how i thought New York would be.

Ever since being to New York I have wanted to return and during our time there thats when I decided I wanted to get into Media or work on a film set and hopefully one day I will be able to walk the streets of New York and call it home. Because after all, all a girl really needs is a New York apartment, a fashion sense like Serena and Blair, a group of "Friends"  and a man like Neal Caffrey (well a girl can dream.)

Until Next time

First Blog Post

I don't know where to start with my first blog post, I've read others but always wondered how do they manage it. I've never been one to keep a diary writing about what happened during my day and how I felt about it, but I have got to start somewhere.

I'm Aimee, I'm seventeen, I'm from Scotland and I'm studying Events Management at college. I won't be cliche and tell you all about my likes and dislikes in a big list but I will tell you a little about myself. I would love to get into Broadcast Journalism so i figured a Blog would be the best way for me to get a little writing experience. I have always read other peoples blogs and always wanted to try it for myself, I use all the other social networking sights such as Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr and Pinterest so thought i would try creating my own blog.

I love movies and books, I am a complete bookworm and can't think of nothing better than sitting down with a book and a cup of tea. I've always been told I'd make a good TV/Movie critic and with the amount of different TV shows and films I watch I would have a lot to say.  I would love to live in New York, i love the bustle of the city and how every one is always on the go. My next post will be about my time in New York I hope i have intrested you enough for you too keep reading.
